Episcopal Endorsement
I am writing to introduce to you Dr. Gregory Charles Dilsaver. Dr. Dilsaver is a former seminarian from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, at that time attending St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California. After leaving the seminary, he taught for a time at Our Lady Queen of the Angels High School Seminary in Mission Hills, California.
Dr. Dilsaver attended the University of San Francisco and was enrolled at the Ignatius Institute on that campus. There he achieved his undergraduate degree. He completed advanced studies in theology (Master’s Degree) and psychology (Doctoral Degree). He was a McGivney Scholar at the Pontifical Institute on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America.
Dr. Dilsaver is instrumental in developing the practice of Thomistic Psychology, based on the principles of Thomistic anthropology and Catholic moral and ethical teaching. Although I am not well versed in the full conceptualization of Thomistic Psychology, with certainty it appears to me to be entirely conversant with and based on sound Catholic teaching. Dr. Dilsaver is the author of Imago Dei Psychotherapy: A Catholic Conceptualization and The Three Marks of Manhood. He has also given retreats, conferences, and lectures in various venues, including universities, colleges, and seminaries and monastic and priestly settings.
I do know Dr. Dilsaver, have confidence in him, in his sound character and steadfast adherence to Catholicism, and I can confidently recommend him.
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
Most Reverend Edward Wm. Clark
Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles
