Vocational Institute of Christian Integration
Teaching the Ancient & Modern Arts for Catholic Survival & Revival
Format
Two year gender specific programs in junior collegiate level boarding school. Opportunity for concurrently earning an Associate of Arts Degree via Associate of Arts Degree via online Ignatius-Angelicum Liberal Studies Program.
Mission
Vocational Institute of Christian Integration (VICI) is a communal collegiate endeavor for life path discernment as per the Seven Crucial Vocations, the gaining of inner and outer awareness, the garnering of essential wisdom, and the acquiring of practical skills and celebratory arts, all ordered to the integral living of a fully human life of prophetic Christian witness and service.
The Seven Crucial Vocations
The Seven Crucial Christian Vocational States are: 1. Psychomoralitic Vocation; 2. Incarnational Vocation; 3. Familial Vocation; 4. Sociopolitical Vocation; 5. Crucial Christian Vocation; 6. Ecclesial Vocation; 7. Individual Christian Vocation. The first four vocational states are of nature and apply to all men. The last three vocational states are of super-nature and apply to all Christians. All the vocational states, be they natural or super-natural, reciprocally impact each other. Finally, God-given gender specificity and charism are essential to the incarnational and familial vocation and integrated with all.
Approach
VICI utilizes an integrative curriculum that is academic, experiential, and mentoring that enables its students to fulfill their vocations in the Image of God, as Feminine or Masculine, as Seekers of Truth and Love, as Co-Creators of the Kingdom of God, and as Christians on their specific vocational path. Prayer, Lectures, Great Books Seminars (from Homer to the Farmer's Almanac), Practicums in Arts & Skills, Psychomoralitic and Crucial Christian Mentoring, Community Service in the Corporal Works of Mercy, and Social Witness all comprise the VICI experience.
